Kakobuy in one paragraph: a buyer, a warehouse, a forwarder
Kakobuy is a shopping agent for Chinese marketplaces. It buys on your behalf, receives goods at a warehouse in China, inspects their appearance, stores them, packs them and hands them to international carriers. Its help centre separates two services: purchasing, where Kakobuy buys for you, and international transit, where you buy yourself and send the parcel to Kakobuy's warehouse for forwarding.
The site runs in 16 languages and lets you display 12 currencies. The iOS app is on the App Store; Android users download an APK file from the site itself. Live chat runs on UK business hours. Kakobuy’s help articles identify the warehouse city as Xiamen. The full forwarding address is supplied in your account; use that exact address, not a city name, when arranging inbound delivery. The reviewed public pages do not settle a founding date.
For a first order, the purchasing service is the one that matters. International transit suits buyers who already order from Chinese shops directly and only need a forwarding address.
Why choose Kakobuy for a first order
Start with what every agent shares: someone buys for you, a warehouse receives and photographs the goods, you pay freight separately, and the carrier is a third party. None of that is a reason to pick one agent over another.
What is particular to Kakobuy: no agent service fee on purchases; a published 100-day free-storage rule in the October 10 source snapshot; a public estimator you can use before signing up; and published prices for several optional services, which let you model those choices before committing.

When another agent would serve you better
Be honest about the cases where Kakobuy is the wrong pick. If you need human help at weekends, its live chat is weekdays only. If your goods are electronics and you want function checks, Kakobuy does not test them. If your shopping lives on platforms outside its automatic reader, every order goes through the manual form and loses after-sales support. And if you compare total cost carefully, an agent with a visible service fee and a tighter exchange rate can come out cheaper.
Other agents work on the same model and publish their own price lists. Compare them on the exchange rate, the storage period, the inspection scope and the lines to your country, in that order. The first two decide most of the money, the last two decide most of the risk.
How to judge whether an agent deserves your money
Four checks work for any agent. Can you find the company behind it? Kakobuy prints EVERYDAY GO INC with a Denver address on its About and Contact pages, and its privacy policy names ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD, UK company number 16947583, at a Beckenham address. Does it publish prices for its add-ons, or only on request? Does it say what happens when a carrier loses a parcel? And does it answer a test question before you pay?
Send one message to support about a real item before you top up. The reply time and its precision tell you more than any review. A vague answer to a precise question, such as whether a line accepts a watch with a battery, is a warning sign at any agent.
Kakobuy's own rule on authenticity
Kakobuy's Anti-Counterfeiting Policy says products bought through it must be authentic and that the sale of non-authentic products is strictly prohibited, with loss of purchase privileges, withheld funds and disposal of inventory as consequences. It also makes the buyer responsible for checking.

A useful test before your first top-up
- Ask support whether your exact product and destination are supported. Include the listing link and any battery, liquid or oversize detail.
- Compare two feasible shipping lines with the same packed weight and dimensions. Include payment costs and any optional services.
- Locate the return conditions, storage expiry and claim exclusions. Keep the links alongside the quote so you can refer to the terms you checked.
